Two Upcoming Trials of Interest

In addition to our Vos Estis Complaint against Bishop Raica, currently in Rome, we are closely following two court cases of interest. Trial dates have been set in the near future, we have been informed.

The first is the criminal felony trial of Fr. Vincent DeLorenzo, accused of the sexual abuse of parochial school children in Michigan. Our interest in this case centers on the role of clerical whistleblowers who had knowledge of his pedophile behavior.  The trial is forthcoming in Spring, 2023. Article link is here.

The second is the Anthony Gorgia case, discussed in previous posts.  A recent widely distributed letter here by former Monsignor Gene Gomulka warns North American College in Rome donors of sexual predation on vulnerable seminarians by their religious superiors there.  One of these allegations appears in the sworn affidavit of former FBI agent Kenneth McCabe. See Appendix B of this document. In future posts we will link to other affidavits from former seminarians, as well as testimony from the trial, which further allege an abusive homosexual subculture at the NAC.

Here at Birmingham Diocesan Watch we serve as a watchdog to help protect members of the Diocese, and to counteract the code of omertà which occurs with alarming frequency. We offer confidentiality to clerical and lay readers who bring information on these matters to our attention. As usual, you may reach us at BirminghamFaithful@gmail.com.
